N-able N-central

A single agency-level credential, for the whole portfolio.

Self-hosted or N-able-hosted RMM, used by MSPs to manage every client's estate. One set of credentials reads all of your clients. Vigicap reads, per client, how many devices an agent actually manages and how recently each last reported, to assess the ReCyF objective on asset inventory. Devices without an agent are not visible from this source.

What to create in the tool

The access is created in N-able N-central, not in Vigicap. Vigicap never asks for an administrator's password: it expects an API credential that you create, that you can see, and that you can revoke without us.

Where to generate it

Dans N-central : Administration > Utilisateurs > créez un utilisateur « API-Only », puis récupérez son jeton JWT depuis sa fiche. L'URL à saisir est celle de votre serveur N-central (par exemple https://ncentral.votre-msp.fr). Le serveur doit présenter un certificat TLS valide et reconnu.

Minimum role

Créez un utilisateur « API-Only » (Administration > Utilisateurs) et donnez-lui un rôle en lecture seule portant uniquement la vue des clients et des appareils. Ce connecteur n'appelle que GET /api/customers et GET /api/devices, plus POST /api/auth/authenticate qui ne fait qu'ouvrir une session. N'utilisez jamais le compte d'un administrateur humain : le JWT d'un utilisateur API-Only est permanent et ne doit appartenir qu'à Vigicap.

What to enter in Vigicap

The exact fields of the connection form, in the order they appear. Values marked “secret” never travel back to the browser: they are encrypted at rest and deleted on disconnection.

The form starts with the instance address, entered separately from the fields below. The public catalogue does not yet publish whether this connector needs one, or what it looks like — so this list is exact about everything else, and silent about that first field.

The credential itself is not repeated: one, entered once at agency level, covers the whole portfolio — the difference you feel with forty clients rather than four.

A reading feeds one objective of the ANSSI ReCyF framework. It PROPOSES it: the level only counts once a consultant has confirmed it.

Read-only

The reads are read-only: Vigicap writes nothing into the tool while reading it.
